What facilities need to be provided? |
|
The quartet requires four armless chairs and a space about 3m by 3m and, in dim conditions, some form of
local light source. A stage is not required, just a stable floor for the chairs and instruments. You can get a good idea
of the requirements by
viewing
some of our previous engagments.

How will the musicians dress? |
|
The players dress formally unless otherwise requested, normally in the classic 'black and white'.
The male members can wear dinner jackets if appropriate.

Is it possible to play outdoors? |
|
Yes, within the limitations of the English climate. You will need to provide a shaded area with stable
platform for the chairs and instruments. If the weather does close in it's a good idea to have an
indoor area to move back to.

Do we need to choose the music? |
|
You can rely on the expertise of the group to select the most appropriate
music for the occasion. If you have any special requirements please discuss them with the group well before
the event.

Do we need meet in person before the event? |
It is not necessary to meet in person. All details can be addressed over the phone or using
email.
If you would like to hear the quartet play there are some samples on
our music page.

|
How far in advance do we need to book? |
|
Engagements can be arranged at short notice but most bookings are made several months in advance
to ensure the group availability. Obviously, as soon as you have a clear idea of dates and times, it would be
advisable to get in touch. Please use the
contact information to pass your details to the group and we can
discuss your requirements with no obligation

|
How long does the quartet play for? |
|
This varies with the occasion and is negotiable. The repertoire of the group can be
used to provide the right music for any time period between one and four hours.
|

|
Is it possible to split the engagment into two periods of playing? |
|
The quartet is sometimes asked to cover an engagment where they will be playing as people
are arriving and then staying on to cover a break in proceedings. Obviously if the break is over
an extended period, or requires the group to change venue, this will be reflected in the charges.

Can you provide testimonials from previous engagements? |
|
Our clients regularly send us unsolicited “thank you” letters.
Please visit our
testimonials
page to read a selection of those comments.

|
Do we have to supply a deposit? |
|
Not normally. In exceptional cases where two parties are enquiring about the same date the group may
require a small deposit to ensure a booking.
|

|
Can you provide 'public liability insurance' ? |
|
It is becoming common for venues such as hotels and conference centres to request evidence
of public liability insurance
before allowing the quartet to perform on their premises.
The group is happy to provide covering documents once a booking has been confirmed.
